Biographical Sketch:

The author has been a prolific poet and fantasy writer for many years. She grew up reading Tolkien, David Eddings, and C.S. Lewis and falling in love with the worlds and characters they brought to life in such a profound way. Those authors, among others, shaped how Kaye views the world and, in turn, how she wishes to communicate with it. She believes fantasy is quite possibly the best way to face reality and wrestle with its difficulties.
Kaye began writing poetry in 5th grade and was mortified to have her teacher read it in front of the entire class as an example of what good imagery was meant to be. However, she has been in love with reading and sharing her writing since then to connect with readers. In more recent years, she has received recognition for her poetry and won many contests on AllPoetry.com. She recently took part in a joint publication project on the site called ‘Circular Whispers’ with a poem entitled, ‘Shadow on the Snow’.
In high school, Kaye began writing fan-fiction as an enjoyable hobby. Though she hadn’t planned to share it, when she finally did, the response to this genre was positive and, bolstered by the idea that others liked her stories too, she decided to continue writing. More fantasy writing followed as she began to shape and hone her craft.

She recently dove head-first into the world of novel-writing and completed the first book in her speculative fiction series. The Order of Libra – Book 1: The StarHawk. Kaye has already begun writing the second book of this series and plans to follow with at least 3 more to complete it. She is excited for the possibility of many more novels in the future.
